David P. Callan
Nobody Needs a Troubadour
(Album)

Music was one of David’s greatest passions. He always said music was healing. For the last two decades he enjoyed playing guitar with several folk groups, including the Lake County Folk Club. He was very proud of recording his album, Nobody Needs a Troubadour, an album of all original music, at Anthemology Studios with support from Stephen Kohler (producer, guest performer and engineer). Nobody could captivate an audience like David. He had an innate ability to connect with listeners and grab the audience’s attention. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

David Paul Callan passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on February 1st, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of music, compassion, love, and kindness to all who knew him. David was married to his loving wife, Amy Duffy Callan, for 19 years and had a marriage filled with love and joy. Together, they brought two wonderful children into the world – Cassidy (16) and Brooke (14) who share David’s love for music as well as his silly sense of humor. The girls will always cherish their inside jokes with their dad. David also leaves behind his twin brother Tony (Vikki) with whom he loved to play music, and his devoted father Dave who was always by his side. He was preceded in passing by his adoring mother, Alixann Callan.
